Glen Annie Golf Club sits in the Goleta foothills, with a garden lawn for ceremonies, a stone terrace with market lights and an outdoor fireplace, and a rustic-chic clubhouse with views over the course toward the ocean. It’s one of my favorite venues in the Santa Barbara area, and I’ve DJed weddings here for years.
How a Glen Annie wedding flows
Most couples say their vows on the lawn, move to the terrace for cocktail hour, then sit down for dinner and dancing outside under the stars or inside the clubhouse. Each of those spaces needs its own sound, so I set up wireless sound throughout the venue: battery-powered speakers for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, plus my main sound system by the DJ booth for dancing. Your guests hear every word of the vows and toasts, and the music follows them from one space to the next.
Up-lighting and the dance floor
Up-lighting looks especially good here once the sun goes down, adding elegant columns of light in your colors to the clubhouse and the terrace. Then it’s my favorite part of the night: a custom set, mixed live, with creative transitions across every genre and decade to keep your dance floor packed.
