Wedding DJ Pricing

My all-inclusive wedding package is $5,000 for weddings in Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties. That covers sound for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, full-room up-lighting and dance floor lighting, and MC services. Lighting and ceremony sound aren’t add-ons. Travel outside those three counties is quoted separately.

DJ and MC services for your whole wedding, separate sound setups for each part of the day, battery-powered wireless speakers for your ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, a wireless ceremony system with lapel microphones, full-room up-lighting, dance floor lighting, a modern DJ booth, online planning tools, consultations with me, and backup equipment, including a fully cloned backup laptop, plus backup music.

Eight hours of DJ and MC time are included. If the party’s going strong, extra time is $800 per hour, and we can decide on the night.

Yes. Travel anywhere in Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties is included. Beyond that, I’ll travel anywhere as long as accommodations are provided, arranged or covered, and travel is quoted separately.

Most couples book about a year out. Popular Saturdays go first, so it’s worth checking your date as soon as you have your venue.

Half down reserves your date, and payment plans are available if you’d rather spread it out. Once you’re booked, you get access to my online planning tools.

Yes. Every couple meets with me on Zoom first, so we can talk through your day and make sure we’re a great fit.

Me, every time. I personally DJ every wedding I book, so you’ll never be assigned a DJ from a roster or a big team. You plan with me one-on-one, and I’m the one behind the booth on your day.

Absolutely. You’ll build must-play and do-not-play lists in my planning tools. That’s how I get a feel for what you love, what you don’t and the vibe you’re going for, so I can plan a custom set for your wedding. On the night, I read the room and mix it all live.

I bring backup equipment to every wedding, including a backup laptop that’s fully cloned and synced to my main one, something almost no DJ keeps. If anything fails, I switch over and the music keeps going. I’m also fully insured.

Two things: how I DJ, and how much I care.

How I DJ. I build a custom set for every wedding and mix it live, with creative, stylized transitions across every genre and decade and the unexpected track at the perfect time. Think of it as a live show: like a band, I put on a performance all night, but I move through far more songs, reading the room and mixing between genres to fit each moment.

How much I care. I personally DJ every wedding I book, and I care about your day as much as you do. From our first call to your last song, I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you have the best wedding possible. With more than 500 weddings and 20+ years behind the booth, you can relax and be guests at your own wedding.

No hidden fees. Setup, breakdown, lighting and travel throughout Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties are all part of the all-inclusive package. The only additions are overtime beyond your eight hours ($800 per hour) and travel outside those three counties, which I’ll always quote up front.

I dress to match the elegance of your wedding, typically in all black with a sharp jacket, so I look polished in your photos while the spotlight stays on you.

I arrive two to three hours before your wedding begins. That gives me time to set up, sound-check and fine-tune the lighting, so everything is ready well before your first guest walks in.

Absolutely. I welcome requests, and when a song fits the moment and the crowd, I love working it into the mix. Every request has to suit the flow of the night and respect your must-play and do-not-play lists, so the dance floor stays full and the music stays true to you.

Yes. I can trim a song to the perfect length, create a custom mix for your grand entrance, first dance or special dances, and produce personalized drops for your walk-out, so each moment lands exactly the way you picture it.

Yes, and they’re some of my favorite celebrations. I’ve DJed Indian, Indian-Jewish fusion and Greek weddings, blending traditional and modern music so every generation ends up on the dance floor. We’ll plan the cultural songs, traditions and key moments together.

Yes. I’m fully insured and happy to send a certificate of insurance directly to your venue, so their paperwork is handled well before the big day.

Yes. Weddings make up about 80% of my calendar, and the rest are corporate events, galas, holiday parties and private celebrations, including a 500-person corporate party for the Farmers Insurance Open.

I no longer offer photo booths. They took time and focus away from my DJing, and I couldn’t deliver as strong a performance or service. Photo booths are a dime a dozen, but DJs vary greatly from one to the next, and the DJ is what makes or breaks your night. So I put everything into being the best DJ for your wedding. Dance floor lighting and full-room up-lighting are already included in every package, and day-of wedding coordination is available as an add-on.

Because a wedding DJ isn’t an hourly service. You’re investing in an outcome, and most of the work happens before your wedding: months of planning, music prep and specialty edits, rehearsing names and spotlight moments, coordinating with your vendors, venue visits, and designing sound and lighting for your space. On the day itself, I work a 12-hour day so every detail is handled and you get to feel like guests at your own wedding. More on that in why a wedding DJ isn’t an hourly service.

Not even close. A playlist can’t read body language, notice when the dance floor is losing energy, or save the moment when a song misses. I watch the room all night and change direction when the crowd tells me to. Anybody can hit play; keeping 200 people dancing for hours is a completely different skill set. Here’s what a playlist can’t do.

Open format. I mix all genres, styles and decades seamlessly together, with fun, stylized transitions that go for the guttural reaction, and I love playing the unexpected track at the perfect time instead of the same old wedding top 50.
